SEAWARD PROTECTION OF SKYROS AIRPORT

Period of services: November 2010 – March 2011

Rehabilitation and reinforcement of the seaward protection of the eastern side of Skyros airport:

• Northeastern part of the airport: protection of the runways and the land zone with concrete ACCROPODE^TM concrete units of 16m³ (total length of 200m).
• Eastern part of the airport: protection of the runways and the land zone with concrete ACCROPODE^TM concrete units of 12m³ and reinforcement of the existing rubble-mound protection (total length of 330m).
• Southern part of the airport: protection of the runways and the land zone with concrete ACCROPODE^TM concrete units of 9m³ and reinforcement of the existing rubble-mound protection (total length of 130m).

• Wave climate study evaluating alternative solutions
• Detailed design of marine works
• Drafting of tender documents
